View of Planet City Live
Storytelling performances and lectures by Young, Jovanovic, and Chen take the audience on journeys through the speculative worlds of Planet City—a single city designed for the entire human population of the Earth, in response to the climate crisis. A concluding panel brings all five artists behind the Views of Planet City exhibition in a conversation about the collective process of interpreting this scenario, resulting in five idiosyncratic, yet intersecting samples of architectural futures.
Program:
- Liam Young: Planet City and the Return of Global Wilderness, storytelling performance
- Damjan Jovanovic: Planet Garden, lecture
- Jennifer Chen: Pink Earth, storytelling performance
- Panel discussion with Liam Young, Jennifer Chen, John Cooper, Damjan Jovanovic, and Angelica Lorenzi, moderated by Erik Ghenoiu
Presented in conjunction with SCI-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) PST ART: Art & Science Collide exhibition Views of Planet City.
